Think about this, the primary use of the internet is communication. Although piracy happens and that is sad, the reality is that is is not something that needs to override the basic right that the internet provides, that is free speech through an avenue of communication that does not limit us to just the few people that live within a certain radius, the way mail or phones have done for people in the past. The internet allows us the ability to communicate with people no matter how distant they are with just a click of button. If SOPA and PIPPA pass we will be condemning future generations to a life with limitations in communication. This bill is not just in any way shape or form. It is for this reason that I called my senator and encourage all to do the same.
